Dear All,
I was recently on a project to get several operating systems scripted and asked Symantec for some example Unattend.xmls to use with GSS 3.0. Well, Symantec pointed me towards a set of Unattend.xmls that were quietly published to a Connect Post for a WebEx and I asked if I could publish these in a more prominent place and here they are!
Anyway, I modified the XMLs to work better with GSS, including customizing the Processor Type, so that they will work with x86 or x64 and also to auto-name the computer.
I also cleaned up the Answer Files to remove the Symantec-specific elements. You will need to edit the selected Unattend.xml and change the values with the ***s such as:
*** Change the local user Password Here ***
They are designed to work for:
Windows 7
Windows 8.1
Windows 2012 R2
And come in partition and non-partition versions. They switch off the firewall and do various useful things, such as enabling the Administrator account, create local accounts and auto-login. Note, the passwords are in plain-text, so you might want to edit them in WSIM to get them encrypted before you use them.
Hope that these help,
QuietLeni
