High Availability Agents - AgentPack-3Q2013 release

Highlights of this release:

• Application Agents
  • VCS agent for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013
    • A new VCS application agent for Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 is introduced for VCS for Windows 6.0.1/6.0.2 and SFW HA 6.0.1/6.0.2. The agent manages SharePoint Server Service Applications, Web Applications, and services in a VCS cluster. 
  • SAP NetWeaver with HA-API support
    • The agent for SAP NetWeaver (SAPNW) now supports SAP ERP, based on SAP NetWeaver 7.x with SAP Kernel 7.20 DCK, on the Linux operating system with SAP certified API to start/stop the SAP system.
  • SAP Sybase Replication Server
    • A new agent for SAP Sybase Replication Server is introduced on the Linux operating system as part of Symantec Technology Enablement Program (STEP).
      The agent package includes two agents to provide high availability for Sybase Replication Server (SybaseRS) and Sybase Replication Management Agent (SybaseRMA).

  • SAP Web Application Server
    • A new agent SAPWebAS71 is added for SAP Web Application Server 7.10 and 7.30 for Linux on VMware platform with Symantec ApplicationHA.
  • Data Loss Prevention
    • Symantec has updated the Data Loss Prevention agent to delete stale PID files as part of the offline and clean operations (3280884).
  • WebLogic Server
    • Symantec has enhanced the offline function of the agent for WebLogic Server to support a higher timeout value for the vcsdecrypt command (3254937).
  • MySQL
    • Support for MySQL 5.6 is added for VCS and ApplicationHA releases.
• Replication Agents
  • EMC RecoverPoint
    • The agent for EMC RecoverPoint now supports EMC RecoverPoint version 3.5 on the Linux, Solaris, and Windows operating systems.
    • The agent now has the ability to compute the Recovery Point Objective (RPO) on the Linux and Solaris operating systems.
    • The agent now supports Solaris 11.
  • HTC 3DC
    • The agent now has the ability to compute the Recovery Point Objective (RPO) on the HP-UX operating systems
  • Oracle Data Guard
    • The agent for Oracle Data Guard and the agent for Data Guard Broker now support Oracle 12c single instance on the Linux and Solaris SPARC operating systems.
    • The agent for Data Guard Broker now supports Oracle 12c RAC on the Linux operating system.
  • EMC SRDF
    • In a 3-site EMC SRDF setup, the agent supports SYMCLI 7.5 on the AIX, HP-UX, Linux, and Solaris operating systems (3273283).
  • IBM SVCCopyServices
    • ​The agent now supports Solaris 11.
    • On the Windows operating system, the IBM SVCCopyServices agent now brings the resource online even when the short path (8dot3) name is disabled on the system (3278662).

  • Informix
    • Symantec has updated the Informix agent package on the HP-UX operating system with the correct directory permissions (3247720).
